TITLE 14
INLAND WETLANDS AND WATER COURSES COMMISSION ORDINANCE
Sec. 14-1. Establishment. There shall be an Inland Wetlands and Water Courses Commission established in accordance with the Inland Wetlands and Water Courses Act (P.A. 155, 1972, as amended). (12-19-1973)
Sec. 14-2. Authority. Said Commission shall have all the powers and responsibilities authorized under said P.A. 155, as amended. (12-19-1973)
Sec. 14-3. Number Of Members. The Inland Wetlands Commission of the Town of Goshen shall consist of seven members each of whom shall be an elector of said Town. (12-19-1973)
Sec. 14-4. Organization. The members of such Commission shall be appointed by the Board of Selectmen within thirty (30) days of the effective date of this ordinance. The Board of Selectmen shall appoint three members to serve until the Annual Town Meeting of 1974, two members to serve until the Annual Town Meeting of 1975, and two members to serve until the Annual Town Meeting of 1976. Sec. 14-5. Election. Commencing at the 1974 Annual Town Meeting and at each Annual Town Meeting thereafter, there will be elected as many members of said Commission as there are members whose term expires to serve for a term of three years, or until their successors shall be elected and qualify. No more than five members of the Commission shall be members of the same political party. (12-19-1973)
Sec. 14-6. Vacancies. Any vacancy that may occur on said Commission shall be filled by the Board of Selectmen until the next Annual Town Meeting. (12-19-1973)
Sec. 14-7. No Compensation. No member of said Commission shall receive any compensation from the Town for his or her services. (12-19-1973)
Sec. 14-8. Effective. This ordinance shall be effective fifteen (15) days after a publication in a newspaper having circulation in the Town of Goshen. (12-19-1973)
