SEWER AUTHORITY
WATER POLLUTION CONTROL AUTHORITY
Sec. 15-1. ESTABLISHMENT. The Town of Goshen hereby adopts the provisions of Chapter 103 of the General Statutes of Connecticut and a Sewer Authority is hereby created and established for the Town of Goshen with all of the powers and duties specified in said General Statutes as the same may from time to time be amended. Sec. 15-2. NUMBER OF MEMBERS. The Sewer Authority of the Town of Goshen shall consist of five members, each of whom shall be electors of the said Town and none of whom shall hold any salaried municipal office. (9-2-1970)
Sec. 15-3. ORGANIZATION. The members of such Authority shall be appointed by the Board of Selectmen within thirty days of the effective date of this ordinance. The first members of the Authority shall be appointed as follows:
One member for a term ending November 1, 1971
Two members for a term ending November 1, 1972
Two members for a term ending November 1, 1973
Thereafter, on or before November 1, 1971, and annually on or before the first day of November in each year, the Board of Selectmen shall appoint as many members to said authority for a term of three years, as there are members whose term expires in that year. (9-2-1970)
Sec. 15-4. VACANCIES. Any vacancy occurring in said Authority shall be filled by the Board of Selectmen within thirty days after such vacancy occurs. (9-2-1970)
Sec. 15-5. Effective. This ordinance shall be effective 15 days after its publication in a newspaper having a circulation in the Town of Goshen. (9-2-1970)

Sec. 15-6. CHANGE OF TITLE: Sewer Authority now Water Pollution Control Authority as per sec. 7-246(a) of Conn. General Statutes, Rev. to 1981.
