FEES FOR BUILDING PERMITS ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED by the legal voters of the Town of Goshen in meeting assembled:
RESOLVED: To rescind the Ordinance entitled Fees for Building Permits Ordinance adopted November 4, 1970 and amended October 2, 1972, and to adopt the ordinance:
1. Fees.
The Building Inspector of the Town shall collect fees for building permits according to the value of the construction based on the estimated cost of the work allowed by the permit:
The Fee schedule will be set by the Board of Selectmen and will be posted in the Town Office Building.
Fees will be charged for:
· All estimated construction: building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing
· Post facto permits will have a fee in addition to the estimated construction fee
· Tents
· File search for obtaining Certificates of Occupancy
· Updating of permits plus any adjusting values
· Demolition of buildings
· Certificates of Occupancy
· Swimming Pools
2. Disposition of Fees:
The Building Inspector shall deliver all fees collected to the Town Treasurer and shall make a monthly report to the Board of Selectmen of the permits issued and the fees collected.
3. Effective
The ordinance will be effective 15 days after its publication.
