TITLE 56
ORDINANCE CONCERNING SMOKE-FREE TOWN-OWNED BUILDINGS
BE IT ORDAINED by the legal voters of the Town of Goshen in meeting assembled:
1. There shall be no smoking in the following buildings owned by the Town of Goshen, which buildings shall be smoke-free: Town Hall, Library, Old Town Hall, all buildings at Camp Cochipianee and all Town Garage buildings.
2. Any person who violates any provision of this ordinance of this ordinance shall be subject to a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each such violation.
3. The ordinance shall be enforced by the issuance of citations by the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Goshen, provided that said Board of Selectmen shall issue a written warning providing notice of the specific violation before issuing the citation.
4. This ordinance shall become effective fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper having circulation in the Town of Goshen.
